Compassionate support for Living and Dying
At the threshold between life and death, you deserve to be held with tenderness, respect, and loving care. As a death midwife, I offer compassionate, non-medical support to individuals and families as they navigate this sacred passage. I bring my 17 year of experience as a hospice nurse blended with the holistic perspective of a birth doula and medicine guide to assist you through this profound time.
Dying is not a medical event — it is natural state that every one of us will experience. Over the last century the death transition (much like birth) was medicalized and moved from the home to the hospital. As a culture we lost our profound connection to the birth-life-death cycle that is everywhere in nature. Many people have never seen someone die let alone know how to facilitate a peaceful passage through death or care for the body after death.
Having an experienced guide can help transform this time from one of uncertainty into one of presence and meaning. When we have enough support this liminal space between life and death can be one of connection and peace.
My services are designed to support the whole family, not just the person who is dying. I hold space for open conversations, help plan for end-of-life wishes, assist with legacy projects, provide a calming presence at the bedside, and guide families through after-death care and ritual. Together, we can co-create a gentle, meaningful goodbye that honors the life lived and eases the transition for those left behind.
Whether you are planning ahead for yourself, caring for a loved one, or seeking guidance for the days after death, I am here to walk beside you — offering practical help, emotional support, and a steady hand through one of life’s most sacred passages.
